[picappgallerysingle id="7452577"]Troubled Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been cleared by league commissioner Roger Goodell to return to team activities this week.  The Steelers will be holding practices Tuesday through Thursday this week. Roethlisberger had been ordered to undergo a battery of behavioral tests by the league as part of his precondition to return to team OTA’s, but what exactly Roethlisberger underwent remains a mystery. One member of the Rooney family didn’t need to know the outcome of the tests, he simply proclaimed Roethlisberger an idiot.

Author Rob Ruck has spent a decade compiling the facts and fictions about the Steelers and the Rooney family. In a new book, “Rooney, A Sporting Life”, Ruck outlines the Steelers history. It’s a long read at 641 pages, but that would be a perfect summertime read for the diehard Steelers fan, by the time you finish, training camps should be open.

The Steelers are playing newly drafted offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey at various positions on the line during workouts. Last week Pouncey had to leave the field after getting his toe injured.

Maybe Santonio Holmes’ departure won’t be that big a deal after all. 6th round pick Antonio Brown is turning some heads during team OTA’s

Looking for your wallet huh? Two of the three men who snuck onto Heinz Field had pleaded guilty to trespass and disorderly conduct charges.
